Enduring Power of Attorney

Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document whereby you appoint another person or persons to take care of your affairs in the event that you become unable to look after your own affairs.

We take great care to ensure that each person understands and is fully aware of the consequences of executing such a document. It is important to bear in mind that an Enduring Power of Attorney only comes into effect when you become incapable of managing your own affairs. This document has absolutely no bearing on your will, they are two separate matters.

Four reasons why I should set up an Enduring Power of Attorney:

  1. Allows your family to care for you and reduces the stress for them.

  2. It prevents possible family disagreements in relation to care decisions.

  3. You are in a position to choose who you wish to act on your behalf.

  4. It is more cost efficient compared to a Wardship Court Application.

Before we start working for you, we will provide an estimate of costs and unless unforeseen circumstances arise, that will be the amount you will pay on completion.

There is no need to chase us for updates, we will provide you with regular updates either by phone, email or letter.

Appointments can be arranged in person or via zoom at a time that suits you.
